In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Genesis 1:1

If you can believe this one verse, you will have no trouble believing the remainder of the Bible.

CONTINUING STUDENT APPLICATION

CCBC-PERU

Fall Semester Applications Due by July 15th and December 31st for Spring Semester

We are grateful to Jesus for your interest in studying at Calvary Chapel Bible College, Lima, Peru. Through this introductory letter, we hope to give you a better understanding of the program we offer. We'd like to get to know you better, also, through this application!

From the beginning, we want you to know that your study in South America will not be easy. You must be prepared spiritually, physically, and mentally because you will be serving on the front lines. You will experience "hands on" missionary work, along with its headaches and triumphs. All we can promise you are difficulties, loneliness, frustration, homesickness, frequent enemy attacks and culture shock challenges common to missionaries. God promises fullness of joy and perfect peace, however, to those whose mind is stayed on Him.

The Lord has given CCBC-Peru the specific task of training national and international students in the Word and sending them out to establish Bible teaching fellowships throughout South America. Several churches have already been established, and new CCBC-Peru outreaches are beginning in Peru's Amazon jungle, Andean mountains and costal desert regions. Therefore, much of your time will be dedicated to travel, serving in ministry, and getting a close-up view of God at work in a third-world country!

Because of the nature of this ministry, we ask that you remain single-minded in your involvement in Peru. It will not be a vacation. Worldly temptation is great, so we would discourage those struggling with drug, alcohol and sexual addictions from applying. Do not allow yourself to become involved in romantic relationships knowing your commitment here will be for a short duration of time. Your testimony is vital to the effectiveness among the people you are ministering to. Keep Paul's admonition from 2 Timothy 2:3-4 in mind:

"Endure hardships with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets in involved in civilian affairs - he wants to please his commanding officer."

The Lord has led several former CCBC-Peru students to return to serve Him in full-time missionary work. Perhaps the Lord would use this campus in your life as a launching pad in to future fruitful ministry. Thank you for praying and seeking God's guidance about studying at the South American extension campus of Calvary Chapel Bible College in Lima, Peru.
