Visitors often ask us what supplies they can bring from the States, or what surprise goodies our missionaries would enjoy. Below we have listed items that are difficult to find in Peru, or are just too expensive here. If you have room in your luggage and would like to bless the work, our students, staff, missionaries or interns, consider bringing the following:
GROCERY STORE, COSTCO OR PRICE CLUB:
Batteries (9 volt and AA)
Blank CDs and DVDs for sound and video recording
Beef Jerky
Candy (surprise us!)
Cereal (any variety!)
Childrens scissors
Color Construction Paper
Maple Syrup
Office Supplies (staplers, markers, pens, pencils, etc.)
Peanut Butter
Printer Paper (premium quality)
Zip-lock bags (various sizes)
MISCELLEANEOUS
Postage stamps
Smoke Detectors (battery operated)
Bible story Coloring books (Spanish preferred)
New or great condition childrens clothing
ABEKA Homeschooling books (used ok)
PACKING TIPS:
Wrap liquids or potentially breakable items in a zip-lock bag and place them in between clothing.
ON THE RETURN TRIP:
The ministry oftentimes has letters or packages to send back to the States from Peru. If you have room in your luggage on the return trip to drop in the mail, this also would be very helpful! |
